Ingredients
- 2 pears, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup pure water (125 mL)
- 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon (1 mL)
- 1 tsp. unsalted butter (5 mL)
- 1 tbsp. honey (15 mL)
Preparation:
Put all ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes, or until pears are tender, stirring often.
Puree the fruit and spread on each slice of wheat-free or whole-grain bread.
Serves 4.
