Ingredients:
- 1 lb. green or yellow beans, sliced into thin strips (450 gr.)
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil (15 mL)
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced into rings
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and coarsely chopped
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds, plain or toasted (85 mL)
Preparation:
- Steam the beans until just tender, drain and set aside.
- Saute the onions in a little bit of water and sesame oil, until soft, then add the chopped apples.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender but still firm.
- Stir in the beans and almonds, and cook until the beans are heated through.
- Serve immediately.
Serves 6 to 8
